Automation of Blood Flow Examination in the Conjunctival Microvessel

Abstract

Examination of blood ow is one of the inspections concernig to lifestyle-related diseases. In this study, the red blood cell velocity is evaluated from the moving image of the conjunctival microvessel. However, it has noises such as blurring and/or blinking. In this study, the method to reduce blurring and/or blinking and then to evaluate automatically the red blood cell velocity is proposed. Applying the proposed method to an actual moving image of the conjunctival microvessel, we could successfully evaluate automatically the red blood cell velocity.
