Fundamental Education for Information Engineering through Robot Control by Microcomputer

Abstract

In information engineering education, there are 2 fields, the softwere technique as represented by programing and the hardware technique as represented by computer architecture. At first, students learn each technique individually in National Institute of Technology , Fukui College. And the system development excerise involving these technique is arranged at higher grage to encourage students to understand fundamentals. However, it is difficult to make students conscious of the application of each technique. Authors have held the exersice for low grade students using microcomputers as a kind of the application to educate fundamentals of wide range of information engineering. We aimed the effect for learning motivation by experiences of application in eary grade.
