Abstract

In this study, we developed a EEG-feature-discrimination system by combination of a compact- EEG-amplifler designed to be low-cost and easy-to-use and novel templete-matching-method, Fuzzy- Template-Matching (FTM). FTM is one of a templete-matching algorithm a simplifled-fuzzy-reasoning framework. The task states were automatically detected by sensors, and the system linked the measured brain signals and the detected task automatically. In this study, the system well-detected the 2 different task states without any explicit learning process. Updating the EEG G templates during test phase enable us to perform long-term EEG identiflcation. The compact EEG with FTM in this study has active electrodes with multiple pins, and the system can be used to measure EEG from any region in the brain, not limited in a frontal region.
