Fuzzy logic based car following model of ultra light vehicles

Abstract

The ultra light vehicle (ULV) has been introduced as a private travel mode in low carbon society. The mixed traffic involving ULVs should be analyzed to realize the efficient traffic on the future road networks. The observed data by UAV is accumulated for real road section in the study. The coordinate data is created to identify the individual vehicle location. The traditional type of car following model is introduced to describe the ULV operation. On the other hand, the fuzzy logic based car following model is introduced as an advanced model to describe the vehicle condition depending on the spot speed. Finally, the characteristics of ULV on the road can be summarized obviously.
