Abstract

Noise clustering is an objective-based algorithm to avoid effects caused by noise. On the other hand, methods of generalized fuzzy c-means have been developed. We propose an algorithm of generalized noise clustering having size variables and covariance variables in addition to belongingness degrees to clusters and cluster centers. Effectiveness of the proposed method is evaluated using the adaptive Rand index on a set of simple examples.
