Abstract

In competitive team sports such as soccer, the ability of the coach who devise tactics is important. However, the skill of devising and directing counter tactics is generally tacit knowledge. Although attempts to quantify such skills is necessary, the cost of data collection in real sport is usually high. To address this problem, we use computer simulation. The RoboCup soccer simulator and a GUI set-play design tool are used as the experimental environment. In the experiment, we evaluate set-plays designed by human and analyze human operation logs.
