Abstract

Unilateral Spatial Neglect (USN) is a type of higher brain dysfunction that impairs the ability to pay attention to one side of the body or environment. Traditional tests have widely used desk-based exams, but it has been pointed out that it is difficult to adequately evaluate due to the discrepancy between test results and symptoms. Therefore, in recent years, tests using electronic devices have been sporadically observed. On the other hand, in order to assess the pathology of USN, it is necessary to understand spatial cognitive characteristics such as attention mechanisms, in addition to measurable information such as gaze. Therefore, this study aims to construct a cognitive model based on the perceiving-acting cycle. In this paper, we propose a system to estimate the attention area based on the subject's movement by using topological mapping.
