Abstract

We previously proposed a method to extract the essential elements (building blocks) common to a set of good solutions in human-based evolutionary computation and present them to the participants. We also proposed a method to obtain and present elements similar to building blocks. Furthermore, we proposed a method to measure the similarity between participants using the building blocks for each participant and present it to the participants. In this study, we implement those previously proposed methods into a human-based evolutionary computation system. Then, we evaluate the methods through human subject experiments using the system. The experimental results show that although the evaluation result to the outputs from the system by a third party is not good, the human-based evolutionary computation system incorporating the methods is useful for participants to create solutions.
