Abstract

In this paper, we attempt to extract the most important solar wind parameters, such as magnetic field, solar wind velocity, and solar wind density which are corresponding to the occurrence of transpolar arc, based on large auroral imager data obtained from 1996 to 2005. Extraction was performed by creating a model that classifies the presence or absence of transpolar arc using the solar wind parameters as the input data. The result shows that the solar wind magnetic field intensity (Bt) can be extracted as the most important solar wind parameter in the TPA occurrence, based on a model with a generalization performance of 0.6297 (accuracy).
