A Basic Study on Improving Efficiency of Road Accessory Inspections Based on Pointing and Calling Gestures

Abstract

In Japan, road appurtenances are inspected with limited personnel and budget. Inspectors visit sites, capture images, and organize them in a ledger by confirming locations, requiring efficiency. This study proposes using pointing and calling movements to take images and simultaneously record the call, improving the efficiency of associating road parts with their images, thereby streamlining the entire inspection process.
