Our research, conducted through unofficial games in the RoboCup soccer simulation 2D league, where Japanese teams competed, offers a unique perspective. This paper compares the characteristic features of the participating teams and provides insights into the recent global trend in soccer simulation. The games serve as a platform to analyze the teams’ strategies, performance, and advancements, shedding light on the current state of soccer simulation in Japan. From these analyses, we aim to offer valuable insights into the evolving landscape of RoboCup soccer simulation, especially for Japanese teams.
