Abstract

In recent years, the decline in exercise opportunities for toddlers has become a concern. To address this issue, this study proposes a music generation system that utilizes smartphones equipped with accelerometers to change music based on a toddler's movement. The system aims to foster intrinsic motivation for exercise and create opportunities for physical activity by allowing toddlers to enjoy composing music through their own physical actions. Experiments conducted in kindergartens confirmed that this system captivated toddlers' interest and encouraged active movement.
