Abstract

The age structure of the Japanese population has changed dramatically with a decrease in the number of children and an increase in the number of elderly people. After World War II, people continued to move to urban areas. As a result, the population has moved from non-urban areas to urban areas, and the availability of local services as well as industry has become less optimistic. The mainstream approach to addressing these issues involves computerization, automation, outsourcing, and other strategies. To solve these problems, it is necessary to conduct an industrial or economic analysis to determine the potential for growth of the Japanese industry or market. This study examines the characteristics of regional industries and their potential for growth by analyzing Japan’s industries.
