Abstract

With the development of artificial intelligence technology, information-related departments are gaining popularity. In particular, with the advent of large-scale language models and generative AI, the development of artificial intelligence approaching human intelligence is progressing. On the other hand, the number of applicants is decreasing in other faculties, and some are facing enrollment shortages.. In science and technology education, STEAM education, which combines STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) and Art (liberal arts and liberal arts), is attracting attention. This aims to develop human resources who can adapt to a society that is rapidly changing due to AI and other factors, and mini 4WDs are sometimes used as teaching materials. This study aims to develop an experiential educational method using "Mini 4WD AI"—a model car enhanced with AI technology—as a teaching material. The approach allows students to engage hands-on with both mechanical and AI concepts, promoting interest in STEAM fields.
