Abstract
The ore of the 4th ore body consists of iron sulphides and chalcedonic quartz associated with a small amount of sulphur, barite, orpiment, cinnabar and stibnite. Cinnabar is found in close association with stibnite and pyrite. Orpiment occurs in association with sulphur vein. Cinnabar and orpiment are the first occurrence from the Matsuo mine.
Some mineralogical properties of these minerals are described, especially on the cinnabar in detail. The succession of minerals is infered from their paragenesis.
