RISK MANAGEMENT OF METAL RESOURCES BUSINESS

Abstract

General trading and investing companies called “Shosha” have made trading business a core business model, but in recent years they are transforming into a business model that increases the value of investment enterprises through business investment and management and expands consoli-dated revenues and profits. In the business of a general trading and investing company, the metal re-sources business is an important position from the viewpoint of profits and social contribution. However, as compared with resource major companies, they have limited management resources, and they also need to consider the relationship with customers and stakeholders. Meanwhile, in the previous research on the metal resources project, methods of evaluating individual mining re-sources and mine management model have been studied. In this research, we focus on the risk man-agement in resource portfolio management and their value chain strategy through research of their metal resource business and analysis of metal resources industry, and consider the success factors of metal resource investments.
