In this paper, I review activities and organizational models when the company is working on big data expansion, and evaluate the impact of spread of IoT and AI on big data analysis and data scientist's job skills. I also hypothesize that a platform strategy is indispensable for the business strategy of big data and conduct a case study of four companies that have already introduced big data such as SoftBank, Mitsubishi Motors, Komatsu, and Rakuten. I discuss the approach of each company's big data business, future strategy, and organizational behavior, from the perspective of platform strategy.
