Abstract
Both double balloon endoscopy (DBE) and capsule endoscopy (CE) are high diagnostic tools. The most frequent indication for these endoscopies is obscure gastrointestinal bleeding (OGIB), which contains various diagnoses such as vascular disease, ulcers and tumors. High diagnostic yields depend on the early timing of the examination from bleeding. We should assemble the best diagnostic strategy based on the severity of bleeding, the detailed case history and the full knowledge about CE and DBE.
