Abstract
In Japan, there are no reports on any clinical case treated with a self-expandable plastic stent (SEPS). We have used the shortest Polyflex SEPS 20 mm in diameter and 50 mm in length, for refractory esophageal benign strictures. The SEPS was easily and safely placed and removed from the esophagus 7 months after stenting. SEPS is one of the promising options for the treatment of benign refractory esophageal strictures.
