Abstract

Several ligation techniques that accelerate the healing of ulcers that form after endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) have been reported, but none has been established for clinical use because of technical complexity and the requirement for expensive equipment. We have devised a new ligation method using a double-loop (D-L) clips technique without the need for an adhesive agent, that accelerates the healing of ulcers that form after ESD in the colon. This method also prevents delayed procedural adverse events after ESD. We report the method of preparing the modified D-L clip and demonstrate ligation using the modified D-L clips technique. We hope for the spread of this technique and endoscopic suturing in the future.
