Abstract

A 47-year-old female was admitted to Akita University Hospital because of melena. Uppergastrointestinal series and endoscopic examination revealed a large mass with a central depression in the duodenum. Biopsy specimens showed no malignancy. Ultrasonic examination showed an echogenic mass, and CT study showed a low density lesion. Abdominal angiography showed a hypovascular mass. Resected specimen showed a duodenal lipoma, 5.5×5.0×3.5 cm in size.
