Abstract

We took big particle biopsy specimens from giant folds by means of snare biopsy technique according to Ottenjan's method. Biopsy specimens are large enough and 10-43mm in length. Histological examination revealed that swelling of sufmucosal layers is main cause of giant folds in our cases. Ulcers caused by snare biopsy healed within 7 days after this procedure. No serious complications such as bleeding and pain were not observed.
