Abstract
A 56-year-old male visited our hospital because of fever and intra-oral tumor. He was diagnosed to have malignant lymphoma in the Waldeyer's ring and stomach and treated with 3 cycles of chemotherapy (CHOP-bleo). The tumor in the Waldeyer's ring disappear-ed rapidly. The mass in the stomach reduced its size, followed by necrosis and ulceration. Thereafter, the ulcer cicatrized and healed, and the mass disappeared. In the healing process, the gastric folds neighboring the ulcer partly adhered each other, forming mucosal bridges. Mucosal bridge has been reported to occur more frequently in the lower gastro-intestinal tract and to accompany inflammatory bowel diseases. Reports of gastric mucosal bridge from Japan are rare. The process of mucosal bridge formation in the stomach, which was observed in this case, has not been reported in Japan.
