A 76-year-old man who had been medicated as myelofibrosis was poirlted out the gastroesophageal varices on endoscopic exarmination. He was hospitalized and underwent the endoscopic injection sclerotherapy (EIS) four times The varices dissapeared without complications such as bleeding and stenosis. We suggest that the EIS is a very useful treatment for varices resulting from an unusual mechanism.
