Abstract
This paper reports the following Middle Permian fusulinoideans from the Moribu Formation in the Hida-gaien Tectonic Zone, central Japan: Monodiexodina matsubaishi (Fujimoto), Monodiexodina sp. and Codonofusiella sp. These fusulinoideans clearly show that the lower part of the Moribu Formation is of Middle Permian age. It further suggests that a significant hiatus exists between the Moribu Formation and the underlying Arakigawa Formation.
