Abstract
We introduce a revised method to make microslides with concentration of calcareous nannofossils for the light microscopic observation modified after Hay (1977). This technique for sample preparation enables us to observe a large number of specimens without large sediment particles and organic materials compared with other preparation methods. It should be useful for detailed quantitative analysis of nannofossil abundances after preliminary observations using smear slides and/or microslides by the suspension method.
