These experiments were intended to induce the crossovers in the females of Bombyx mori by X-irradiation. The female pupae, heterozygous for two dominant genes S and Y in the II chromosome, were X-rayed and crossed to py males. 11 crossovers appeared in the treated series out of 6630 worms, and several mutants for Striped gene were, moreovre, found.
