Abstract
1. In Punica granata L. and P. granata var. nana PERS. three pairs of genes, Cc, Ss, and Rr, concerning flower colours were determined. R produces red flower when S and C are also present; S produces salmon pink flower in the presence of C, while C by itself does not produce any colour.
2. 8 gemini were found in the PMC of Punice granata L. and P. granata var nana PERS. The meiosis is normal so that the pollen grain nucleus contains 8 chromosomes.
