Two amphidiploids of Aegilops were produced by colchicine treatment. The combinations were as follows: Ae. bicornis×Ae. uniaristata Ae. squarrosa×Ae. uniaristata (recip.). The morphology of the amphidiploid, Ae. squarrosa×Ae. uniaristata, was fairly similar to that of Ae. ventricosa.
