Abstract
Some silkworms bearing all compressed segments were found out in spring of 1932. The body length of this worm shows about 59.1m.m. in full-growth while the normal 68.3m.m., and consequently such a compressed mechanism of segments is always obliged the straight alimentary canal to curve so remarkably as the vertebrate intestine shows. This abnormal has been ascertained to be inherited as a recessive character according to the crossing with the normal. This strain is inferior to the normal in several characters, that is, hatching, deathrate, development, cocoon making, egg-production etc.
