Abstract
1. It was found that the tissue hemagglutinin (THA) obtained from mouse fibroblast L cells treated with trypsin agglutinated only chicken red cells agglutinable with vaccinia hemagglutinin.
2. Genetic analysis showed that the agglutinogen designated “Th” was controlled by a single incomplete dominant autosomal gene.
3. “Th” agglutinogen appeared during 2 weeks after hatching and the hemagglutination scores rose up to a high level at 8 weeks after hatching.
4. The hemagglutination scores in the heterozygous type rose to the similar level to those in the homozygous type and fell down to a lower level than the scores of the homozygous type after 10 weeks of age.
