Abstract
The crystal structure of Sr2ZnGe2O7 was refined to R = 0.023 with three-dimensional diffraction data. The crystal is isomorphous with 0 melilite, having cell dimensions a=8.169(1) and c=5.337(1) Å. The average tetrahedral Zn-O and Ge-O distances were 1. 953 and 1. 748 Å, respectively. Zn and Ge atoms showed complete ordering.
