Abstract
Alkali feldspar is a common mineral in acidic igneous rocks. The characteristic internal textures of perthites are produced by various mechanisms such as exsolution, replacement and crystallization. Origin of cryptoperthites has been rather well clarified, but that of microperthites has not been well understood. These studies are reviewed, and some future problems are shown.
