Studying and updating one's knowledge and skills a daily practice is crucial for working adults to enhance their value. However, the extent of daily studying among working adults and its impact on subjective well-being remain unclear. This study aims to explore the study habits of working adults in Japan and shed light on the connection between study time and subjective well-being. The findings revealed that 36% of Japanese working adults engage in daily studying, with variations in study content and methods. The duration of daily study time increased with higher job positions and annual incomes. Additionally, the results indicated that individuals who studied daily reported higher levels of subjective happiness, career satisfaction, and confidence in their work abilities compared to those who did not engage in daily studying.
