Difference between face to face and online meeting based on the Construal Level Theory

Abstract

An experiment was conducted to analyse the differences between face-to-face and online meetings. The Construal level theory was applied to the analysis by evaluating the abstraction of the word used in the meetings. Also, the number of speech changes or direction were analysed. The experiment revealed no significant difference in abstraction level and the number of speech changes and direction between the face-to-face and online meetings.
