Swelling Behavior of FKM Rubbers in Methanol and MTBE Blend Gasolines

Abstract

It is well known that swelling of fluororubbers and nitlire rubbers used for fuel system is maximum in the concentration of 20-30% ethanol. It is confirmed that swelling of fluororubbers in the mixtures of methanol blend gasoline and MTBE blend gasoline is more than that in methanol blend gasoline and that in MTBE blend gasoline.
