Abstract

As for the rubbing surface of rubber and polymeric materials, various types of wear are observed, such as fatigue wear, pattern abrasion, the wear by roll-formation, oily wear and melting wear. Then the corrosive wear and erosive wear are also experienced. In this paper, these interesting wear mechanisms are explained.
