Carbon Black: Basic Properties and Sustainability

Abstract

Carbon black is essential ingredients for many products, especially in rubber industries. Its physical and chemical structure is summarized in this paper. Sustainability is getting more important for all industries including carbon black though its raw materials are byproducts from other industries. Utilization of tire pyrolysis oil and reclaimed carbon as efforts to achieve more sustainable carbon black production is also introduced in this paper.
