Abstract
For studying the physical properties of non-wovens, the author have derived the standard strength gradient “Ku, ” and then by comparing this Ku-value the author could find some interesting results. These results are as follows;
1. The adhesive and cohesive force of non-woven binders was reinforced with melamine condensates, so the tensile strength of non-wovens increased considerably with the content of melamine, as well as the strength o binder itself.
2. In the reactant type polymer of acrylate, the adhesive and cohesive force is more increased with melamine than in non-reactant type.
3. On account of many cross-linkages generated between functional group in acrylate and that in melamine, dry-cleaning resistance of non-wovens was successfully obtained.
