Abstract
In comparision with butadiene-styrene copolymers and polybutadiene (rubber like) -polystyrene (resin like) blends, the properties of heterogeneous polymer system were studied.
It was found that the copolymer series differed essentially from blended polymer series in their behaviors, independent of blending method (by roll milling and blending in latex form) and curing system (sulfur-cure, peroxide cure and radiation-cure). That is the properties of blended polymer series were in linear relation to styrene content, but in the copolymer series the properties were in non-linear relation.
