Abstract
When polyvinyl chloride (PVC)-filled calcium silicates are heat-treated at about 200°C, the crosslinking reaction occurs. In this paper, the effects of heattreating upon mechanical properties, such as tensile strength, Young's modulus and impact strength of PVC filled xonotlite (6CaO. 6SiO2. H2O) are reported.
The tensile strength and Young's modulus increase respectively by haettreating but improvement in impact-resistance is hard to expect from heattreating this time.
