Abstract
The identification of various polyol and diisocyanate components in polyurethane elastomers was studied.
1) The polyol components in polyurethane elastomers were identified by the charactaristic peaks obtained by direct pyrolysis in carrier stream of gas chromatography.
2) The diisocyanate components in polyurethane elastomers were converted into diamines by hydrolytic degradation under pressure and detected in extracted ether solution by gas chromatography.
3) The method described here is simple, quick and practical for the identification of polyol and diisocyanate components in polyurethane elastomers.
