Abstract
We examined the dependence on particles concentration of such physical properties of carbon black filled SBR as specific gravity, swollen network density, static modulus, dynamic modulus, thermodynamic properties of modulus, loss factor, maximal loss factor, temperature at maximal loss factor, spin-spin relaxation time of A and C phases, volume fraction of C phase. There are strong couplings between particle surfaces and rubber molecular chains in this SBR.
We obtained the following results:
(1) Dependence curves of physical properties on particles concentration have two points of inflection; the first one is caused by phase transition, the other one is caused by transition from mixed state of entropic and energetic to only to onlyd energetic state. (2) Dependence curves of physicald properties on particles concentration are classified into three types; (a) linear function (b) quadric function and (c) logarithmic function of particles concentration.
