THE STUDY OF POLYCHLOROPRENE COMPOUNDS IMPROVED COMPRESSION SET

Abstract

CR vulcanizates which cured by the combination of trimethylthiourea (TMU) with di-o-tolylguanidine salt of dicatechol borate (PR) showed excellent compression set, but the storage stability of the compounded rubber was unfavored. On the other hand, when catechol borate (CTOB) was used in stead of PR, TMU/CTOB accelerating system provide improved storage stability of the compounds and the obtained vulcanizates showed excellent compression set.
