Abstract
Highly Deproteinized natural rubber (HDPNR) latex was obtained by incubation with proteolytic enzyme in the presence of surfactant (s) followed by washing using a rotary disk membrane module. HDPNR latex showed the same particle-size distribution as the untreated latex and got rise to mechanical stability and processability better than that obtained by conventional centrifugation. The effect of small rubber particles in HDPNR latex was discussed.
