Verification about Crystal Growth Process of Trapiche Ruby.

Abstract

The trapiche crystal structure came to be known to Emerald or Corundum, Tourmaline today.

However, because the dendritic arm part is polycrystalline, and explanation is difficult in the proposed model that “a dendritic arm is crystalized into earlier” in Nassau & Jackson (1970).

Therefore, we assumed a new crystal growth model and inspected the model by crystallographic analysis data.
