Abstract

In this paper, the mutual relation between the angle and direction of the incident ray on the crown main facet and table facet and radiant ray from the table is analyzed starting from the analyses given in the previous papers 1, 2, 3. In the first paper, it was shown that a geometric locus of incident ray points (with the path to a fixed point on a pavilion main facet) appeared as a circle on the table. On the crown main facet, the locus took an oval form. In the second paper, it was shown that the F-Value's curves concentrated at about 1 value on the 70 degrees of incident direction at any incident angles. In this paper, method of calculation of the mutual relation between the angle and direction of the incident ray on the crown main facet and radiant ray from the table is derived. Taking the optical path inside a stone into consideration, the mutual relations were calculated and graphically represented for the case of crown-main facet to pavilion main facet (M→T), and pavilion main facet to crown-main facet (T→M). The F-Value consists of two values, and this naturally affects a flashing and scintilation of the Diamond.
