Abstract
In this study, we prepared an alumina fiber-reinforced alumina-based ceramics as a new type of dental ceramics using a tape casting technique. The results showed that the sintering shrinkage and the bending properties of alumina fiber-reinforced alumina-based ceramics exceeded that of unreinforced alumina; the positive effects of fiber reinforcement were clearly observed.
