Abstract
The aim was to characterize the structure of calcified materials removed the oral cavity by EPMA and XRD. The samples, spatter-coated with platinum or carbon, were observed by a scanning electron microscope (S-4500: Hitachi), an energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscope (EMAX-650: Hitachi) and XRD(RINT-2500:Rigaku). The calcified tissue was found hydroxyapatite with high density.
