Abstract

In order to develop new adhesion theory of dentine adhesion systems in new generation, fracture mode and fracture strength in one-step one-bottled system was discussed theoretically, including three-step system. In this study, four layers and three interfaceswere distinguished within the test sample which has hybrid layer, whereas the sample with no hybrid layer was also discussed. As a result, fracture strength in adhesive resin layer was affected, due to the cure performance of the layer, microcracks(morphology and volume fraction) and elasticiy. On the basis of their fracture behaviours of the samples, adhesion strength of one-step one bottled system in the new generation was defined.
